His thirty-eight plus years of experience brings forth insight to key issues in daily management, as well as forecasting trends for effective senior community models. Along with his strong leadership and management philosophies, Steve creates cohesive teams that build on the culture and mission to fulfill residents’ desire to maintain and live independent and fulfilling lives.
Chief Financial Officer
Peter Jorgensen brings over twenty years of experience in financial and management operations of retirement and assisted living communities to Village Concepts. He is responsible for all phases of financial management and IT systems research and development. His expertise has been instrumental in developing increased efficiencies in operational systems that include accounting, budgeting, and payroll systems for growth development throughout Village Concepts multi-property developments.
Chief Operating Officer
Stuart D. Brown, the third generation of his family to stand at the helm of Village Concepts, manages and oversees a portfolio of 16 senior living communities in Washington State as chief operating officer. With more than 15 years of senior housing experience, Brown leads the industry with attention and dedication to provide each resident with independence, security and a place to call home.
Corporate Director of Regulatory Compliance
Vicki McNealley is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in community health nursing and a doctorate degree in nutrition. Vicki has over 15 years of experience in the assisted living profession. As Village Concepts’ Corporate Director of Quality Assurance, she works with staff in our communities to evaluate resident care and services, as well as implements innovative systems designed to improve the lives of those we serve.
Corporate Director of Quality Assurance
Lisa performs RN oversight and quality assurance within the nursing departments of Village Concept’s Assisted Living communities. With over 23 years of successful geriatric nursing experience in all types of settings including Assisted Living, Hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Adult Family Homes, Lisa is well-versed in the obstacles that affect seniors and is adept at finding positive and timely solutions.
Dining and Environmental Services Director
Village Concepts Dining and Environmental Services Director Denise Lang has over 37 years of experience in healthcare food service and administration. She is a member of the Association of Nutrition and Food Service Professionals, which enables her to remain up-to-date on current trends. She is responsible for oversight of the Dining and Environmental Services within the Village Concepts family of communities.
Dave Baus is involved in all aspects of the development cycle for Village Concepts projects, including site selection, acquisitions and due diligence. He plays a lead role in management of the entitlement process; working with local municipal (zoning & SEPA issues), project design, coordinating with engineers, and follows the project through from construction to Certificate of Occupancy.
Director of Corporate Development
Tracy serves as Director of Corporate Development for Village Concepts, focusing on marketing and operations. In the industry since 2000, Willis is also involved with Washington Health Care Association as a Chapter Governor and was honored with the 2012 Legislative Advocate of the Year award. With a bachelor’s degree in English and MBA from Warwick Business School in Coventry, England, Willis brings a wealth of energy and experience to Village Concepts.
Regional Sales Manager
With a strong background in sales management and marketing, Kevin has helped build Village Concepts sales foundation within each community to build the overall occupancy to well above the national and regional average for assisted living and affordable senior housing industry. Kevin has established and helped institute training techniques to ensure employees create a unique and fulfilling experience for anyone who walks through the doors of a Village Concepts community.
Affordable Housing Specialist
Since 2007, Nanette Baus plays a vital role as our affordable housing specialist, with more than 15 years working in property management in both conventional and affordable housing communities. Her duties include reviewing initial and annual certifications, conducting site audits , completing all annual reporting and property tax exemptions as well provides training to on-site staff in compliance with affordable housing program requirements, fair housing and landlord tenant law.
Software Developer and IT Manager
Ron Nitzinger brings 15 years of software development experience to Village Concepts and is responsible for managing the custom in-house developed ERP system that encompasses all aspects of Village Concepts’ business, as well as overseeing the architecture and maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
Misty brings over 13 years of management experience to Village Concepts where she oversees administrative duties including human resources, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and benefits administration. With a strong background in accounting and management, Misty ensures that Village Concepts operates smoothly and efficiently.
Carly Turner has a pulse on all aspects of the Village Concepts communities and shares information about activities, events and news through community newsletters, emails, collateral, website and social media. A Village Concepts employee since 2008, Turner also supports new technology with computer management and networking strategy, provides general IT support to users and manages user accounts for email and servers.
As the exclusive interior design team for Village Concepts, Sheri Jorgensen and Joy Wicklund-Reed carry out the company’s vision in creating a contemporary and elegant aesthetic for Village Concepts communities and development projects. Sheri and Joy have been partners in the interior design business for six years. They first named their business “Simply Sympatico” because of their unique and cohesive blend of tastes and style and in reference to their strong friendship.
