Park View Villas is proud of its reputation for finding ways to give back to the community.

“The community has supported us for the last 21 years and we are thrilled to return that support,” says Executive Director John LeClerc.

From throwing a dinner for Olympic Senior Game participants in August to Santa pictures in December, the assisted living and retirement community hosts community events throughout the year to raise money for local organizations.

In April, Park View Villas will partner with the Sequim Activity Center to host a dinner gala and auction fundraiser to help the center raise funds for a new building in Sequim.

Details about the April 27 event will be announced as the event approaches.

In October, Park View Villas co-sponsors the Harvest Benefit Dinner with Crestwood Convalescent Center to support the Port Angeles Senior Center.

Last year’s event raised $4,700, which was the largest monetary donation ever made to the senior center.

Also in December, Park View Villas with the help of Trisa Chomica of Trisa & Co. Interior Design, transforms its Fireside Room into the Teddy Bear Suite, a Christmas-themed wonderland.

Public donations to view decorated Christmas trees and home decor and to enjoy daily live entertainment during the week-long event are donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula.

“Community is important,” John says of the many events they hold.

Park View Villas will again host the dinner for the Olympic Peninsula Senior Games in August, a three-day athletic competition for those 50 and older that draws hundreds of participants.

“The dinner was such a success that we decided to host another one this year,” John says. “We will also again host bocci ball and cribbage.”

In 2011 Park View Villas was involved in the planning of the Outrageous Olympics and was also a sponsor of one of its 12 teams. The event raised $10,000.

Park View Villas provides smaller services to the community, such as conducting a blood pressure clinic every month at the Port Angeles Senior Center and holding educational seminars.

Park View Villas is a licensed assisted living facility that has been providing independent and assisted living services in Port Angeles for 21 years.

They have 87 apartments in their main building with 20 independent senior cottages on the grounds.

The staff has a long history of providing care to seniors-John has 20 year experience with assisted living facilities.
