This was such a great event. Carolyn Freeman the Museum Executive Director gave an informative talk about Kinsey, his wife Tabitha and their amazing work partnership.
Kinsey would travel to logging work camps, take many pictures and then get the film back to his studio where Tabitha would work in the darkroom. The prints woudl be returned to camp and put on display for people to purchase copies of the prints.
During the presentation, a resident brought down two photos that turned out to be Kinsey original prints. Her father did exactly what Carolyn had explained to us! He was in both pictures and had purchased them from Kinsey. It made the morning very special indeed.
We are looking forward to the September Museum Lecture about the 1914 Bank Robbery that will take place September 7th.
