Will I feel cramped in an apartment?
While an apartment might be smaller than what you are accustomed to, High Point offers a variety of accommodations and floor plans to suit your needs.
Will my new apartment have the same privacy I enjoy now?
Apartments at High Point have been thoughtfully designed for privacy, comfort and convenience. Once you step outside your door, find all the companionship and activities you desire, or head out on your own for the day.
Will I be giving up my independence?
On the contrary! Whether you choose assisted or independent living, you will have the security, support and freedom for an independent lifestyle.
How is a retirement community better than staying in my own home?
Most adult children are relieved to discover a community like High Point for their parents or relatives. You benefit from regular meals, companionship and social and recreational programs. In addition, there’s trained staff on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Your suite is unfurnished and ready for you to decorate and furnish with your own treasured possessions.
Once I move in, can I move to another apartment if I choose?
We’ll be glad to help you arrange a move into any other available apartment.
What about meals?
Our chef takes great pride in preparing delicious, healthy, home-style meals. Meal plans vary and are included with your monthly rent.
May I continue to entertain friends and family?
You are welcome to invite friends and family to join you at your new home. You may reserve the private dining room to entertain in style, or utilize one of the common areas for your private parties.
I love to have my grandchildren visit and stay overnight. Is that possible?
You may have guests stay at any time. They are welcome to stay for any reasonable length. Guest meals may be purchased as well.
What kinds of activities are there?
High Point has a full-time Program Director to plan and direct activities and community service programs. Monthly activities may include day excursions, shopping tours, social events, dances, movies, lectures, card tournaments and classes. Schedules and activities vary with the seasons, holidays and interest of our residents.
Will I have to move to another apartment or building for assisted living services?
No, the services will be provided in your current apartment. No move is necessary.
