“Take me out to the ball game!” That was the battle cry on the way back from the tour of the newly remodeled Cheney Stadium. VFW Post 11401 joined the residents of Mill Ridge Village and got a front row or should we say “Dug Out view” of the $30 Million renovation to the iconic stadium. Everyone was impressed with the new look to the stadium as many of the attendees had been there in their youth. See more pictures here!

Mill Ridge Village supports “Step By Step” with diaper drive

By admin: 04/03/2012 @ 1:38 pm

Mill Ridge Village residents are taking on a new project in April, donating their time and support to the local organization “Step By Step”, a program that reaches out to young moms and their babies. Founded in 1997, “Step By Step” is located in Edgewood and serves over 1,000 families in Pierce County. Their mission is to transform the lives of at-risk pregnant women. Mill Ridge is holding a diaper drive all month long and accepting donations of diapers or baby wipes. Residents have also started a ”Care & Share” time on the weekends, providing some much needed office help to the staff of “Step By Step”. Contact Lois at (253) 925-9200 if you are interested in donating items to the diaper drive or volunteering for the “Care & Share” program.
