Special guest speaker Mary Florek presented “The Art of Spinning”, a demonstration and discussion of the spinning wheel, during a recent visit to Spiritwood at Pine Lake. Residents had the opportunity to try their hand at the wheel using various types of wool, felt and yarns. Everyone is excited to have Mary as a returning guest speaker in the future and teach some other new spinning techniques!
